Work Smart Dri­ve Smart is a road safe­ty pro­gram that is evi­dence based, prac­ti­cal and free for new appren­tices in con­struc­tion trades who need to dri­ve for work and are on their P plates. The pro­gram is designed to pro­vide the knowl­edge and prac­ti­cal skills to help new appren­tices deal with the unique dri­ving chal­lenges they face at work. The pro­gram pro­vides a hands-on, prac­ti­cal envi­ron­ment that allows their facil­i­ta­tors to help par­tic­i­pants to devel­op strate­gies for deal­ing with risky sit­u­a­tions on the job.

Work­ing with the TAC and the Vic­to­ri­an State Gov­ern­ment Super­bold was tasked with design­ing a brand to sit under the Road Safe­ty Edu­ca­tion Vic­to­ria mas­ter brand. The brand had to appeal to many audi­ences includ­ing appren­tices, employ­ers par­tic­u­lar­ly in trade indus­tries, indus­try bod­ies, TAFE/RTO’s and the gen­er­al public.

Super­bold cre­at­ed a brand that revolves around the prin­ci­ples of con­nec­tiv­i­ty and advance­ment rel­e­vant to the pro­gram. The brand’s arrow shapes, sim­i­lar to that of a direc­tion­al sign are used not only in the brand itself but in the brand’s visu­al lan­guage to embody the ideas of move­ment and pro­gres­sion through the road safe­ty pro­gram. Super­bold worked on many resources includ­ing pro­gram print mate­r­i­al, liv­ery and dig­i­tal collateral.
